After 10 and a half years together, Rachael and I are calling it a day. All of the love, respect, and mutual support that has been the foundation of our relationship remains intact. Rather, we are choosing to build a continued and lasting friendship on it instead of a romance. We will live together for the near short term but will begin to craft separate lives. We are not accepting condolences, only congratulations, for our 10 remarkable years together and for our choice to part as friends, free of acrimony or resentment.
Of special note to our friends: we know that we have mutual friends, some closer to one of us than the other. We don’t want our friends to feel compelled to choose between us. We’re okay with this decision and we want our friends to be as well.
