Yes, the conceit of the title is obviously a canard. They know as well as anyone that deregulation will not stimulate the economy. They're shamelessly holding our economy hostage whilst they wait for people to turn on Obama as figurehead. If they can eek out a few biproducts on their wishlist, they're altogether too happy. Deregulation is a deep cut. They've already gotten quite a few things they wanted. Permanent Bush tax cuts and the destruction of labor, social security and medicare as of yet elude them.
